Aeaea retreat

This idea is to create a multi-day retreat as a portal into another dimension, another time, into another version of ourselves.

The intention is to dive deep, reconnect with your true self, values and priorities (remember those?) and then to bring back the jewels lost at the bottom of the ocean — in other words: your creative juice. And maybe a full-fledged personal brand.

Wow.

Poem: We are being the story of Us by being a Me

(I am trying to tell you a story about our identity by living the life of a human being.)

We are being the story of Us by being a Me
“Each human story is unique”
(& I don’t disagree so

if you listen, an ‘I’ will speak).
But from what I can gather, from what I can sleuth
When I pull for my story
(if words born of truth)

I speak from the mouth of a We

The value of quitting, part 1 (TLDR)

TLDR Outline:

  • Improvisational jazzzzzzzzz

  • The Positivity playlist: an essential tool for ‘times like these’

  • If you’re tired, sad, or feel like giving up… maybe it’s a good thing

  • The value of quitting

  • Introducing Art Frame vs Game Frame

  • Why I decided to scrap my business and start over

Wuzzzup motherfuckkkkerszzzzz?!????!!!!!!! THIS LETTER IS A CREATIVE BOMB of HEARTFELT EXPRESSION brought to you by AN UNBRANDED FOOL (that’s me). Pardon the overly-enthusiastic start; I’m currently listening to my Positivity playlist on Spotify, which makes me feel all FREE and INSPIRED.

(If you click the link, be forewarned: my playlist contains an inordinate amount of Disney songs).

I created a Positivity playlist because it’s one of my ‘life tools’ for when I need a little musical medication for my mood.

The Positivity playlist has been on heavy rotation lately. Why? You guessed it: I haven’t been feeling very positive. If I may, I’ll give you a quick overview, with the suspicion that I’m not the only one out there feeling one or more of the following:…read more

Branding or unbranded?

At the same time that I am tired of everything having to be Branded, I also love cultivating truth in branding, and finding ways to use branding as a tool for discovery, actualization, even art and expression. If you are into this too, feel free to check out my business page.

The power of alter egos

Did this amazing photo shoot with the incredible Kait Miller, which inspired a write-up on the power of alter egos to help us become more whole selves, especially when we link them with branding and artistic tools.

This lead me to think about how to reclaim hidden parts of ourselves in the interest of wholeness. More on that later.

This is existential branding

What is existential branding?

Reject nothing. Your light. Your shadow. Your professional resume. Your 10-year-old self.  The fact that you’re an executive, an entrepreneur, a parent. The fact that you’re a fuck-up, or a perfectionist, or a stick in the mud, or an utter goofball.

Or the fact that you think if people saw the “real” you, they’d call you a fraud.

Now is the time to know and own all those parts: so you can distill them down into something USEFUL. Pro tip: use every last drop for inspiration. This is the creative process. This is wholeness.

This is existential branding.
